Faith To Change The World

Nothing moves in the Kingdom without faith. That is why we say faith is the currency of the Kingdom. The bible states in Hebrews 11:1, “Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.” The Greek word used for faith in this verse is pistis which means “assurance”, “fidelity” and “trust.” The Greek word for substance is hypostasis which transliterates to “confidence” and “reality.” The Greek word used for evidence is elekhos meaning “proof.” Faith therefore is ontological (the study of existence, reality and being), it is real and spiritual. Faith is not a religious theory it is a spiritual reality that delivers the manifestation of divine promises. We can safely conclude that faith is a mystery that confers mastery. Without faith it is impossible to please God. God does not respond to your emotions, feelings and tears, he responds to faith. Therefore, it is crucial to understand the mystery of faith. I argue that faith is one of the most important assets of a believer in the Kingdom. It is an asset of inestimable value and without it our Christian walk becomes meaningless. Hebrews 11 gives a list of what we call the Hall of Faith, a list of Kingdom heroes and heroines who pleased God with their unshakable faith. Men and women of God who literally changed the world by faith. We will do a brief study of how we also can have similar results through the appropriation of this mystery of faith. God wants us to literally change our world through our faith in Him. Are you ready to learn what it takes to obtain this kind of faith? Let’s get into this wonderful revelation and grow our faith to shift the dynamics in our world.

In order to clearly comprehend faith, we have to define terms for there to be clear and proper communication. Faith is a spiritual channel that facilitates the delivery of God's promises. Faith is being fully persuaded by the Word of God even in the midst of insurmountable odds until faith prevails. Faith is a spiritual title deed that proves your legal right and ownership of a promise. Faith is having absolute confidence in God even when trusting Him does not make sense. Faith does not appeal to natural senses; it is purely a spiritual principle. Faith is contradistinctive and antithetical to reason and logic. In its most basic meaning faith does not make any sense. In order to fully comprehend faith, it is helpful to state what it is not. Faith is not a religious theory; it is a spiritual weapon. Ephesians 6: 16 says, "Above all taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall quench all the fiery darts of the wicked." We can clearly see from this scripture that faith is a spiritual weapon. It is part of your spiritual armor and it is above all the other components of the armor. Faith is not a religious principle it is a spiritual law that produces tangible results. Faith without proofs is fake, faith without evidence is counterfeit. Your faith must be backed by evidence, results and proofs.

Now what is the source of faith? The bible says in Romans 10:17, "Faith comes by hearing and by hearing the word of God." The word of God is the ultimate source of faith. The scripture above talks about hearing the word of God. The Greek translation actually means faith comes by hearing rhema. Rhema is the spoken word of God to you. Rhema actually is a specific word, for a specific person in a specific location and a specific time. Faith does not come by hearing logos (the written word of God), it comes primarily by rhema. It is rhema therefore that gives birth to faith, you need to clearly hear what God is saying. The voice of God is the bedrock of faith. Here I am not talking about reading the scriptures or even listening to a preacher. I am talking about listening to the voice of God. The biggest problem in the body of Christ is spiritual deafness. It is impossible to hear God's voice and doubt him. When God speaks faith bursts into existence, that is why you need to read the scriptures with a sensitive heart willing to hear the voice behind the scriptures. His voice is upon the waters, water is symbolic of the Word of God, so His voice is upon His Word. Do not just listen to a preacher, hear what God is saying through the preacher.

It is important to note that every believer in the Kingdom of God has been given the measure of faith. However, it is your duty to grow and develop that faith in order to produce faith. One of the ways of developing your faith is praying in the Spirit. Jude 1:20 alludes to this effect saying, "But ye, beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost." It is possible to grow your faith through spiritual discipline and consistency. We all feed according to our spiritual maturity and dietary needs. Apostle Paul states that some people may be still infants in the faith and they still need spiritual milk and not strong meat. The word of God  is in varying nutritional levels. The bible describes the Word in various forms, we have the water of  the  word, the milk of the word, the meat of the word, the strong meat of the word, the honey of the word and the wine of the word. You do not give an infant T-bone steak because the baby will choke. Strong meat belongs to the mature, those who through reason of use have trained their spiritual senses to differentiate right from wrong. Revelation is the gateway to a world of unshakable faith. Without revelation there cannot be manifestation. Strong meat level is revelation level of the Word. It is important to hunger for strong meat as you grow in faith. In fact, a sign of maturity is a change of dietary needs, your faith feeds on revelation(rhema). The greater the revelations the greater your faith, these are directly proportional to each other. The wine of the word is the intoxication level of the Word, this is why alcohol is only for adults. Alcohol actually has age limits and before you purchase it you need to provide an identification card.

In the Kingdom intoxication is for the spiritually mature, there is a level in the walk of faith that you become intoxicated with divine revelations. Apostle Paul states that a messenger of Satan was sent to buffet him because of the abundance of revelations. Apostle Peter confirms that apostle Paul was endowed with extraordinary revelations that he wrote things that even other apostles found difficult to understand. Now, these are powerful dimensions of faith ladies and gentlemen. When you are intoxicated with this kind of faith you literally transform nations, obtain promises and

conquer every mountain. The bible says in Hebrews 11:32-40,

"And what shall I more say? for the time fail me to tell of Gideon, and of Barak, and of Samson, and of Jephthae; of David also, and Samuel, and of the prophets: Who through faith subdued kingdoms, wrought righteousness, obtained promises, stopped the mouths of lions, Quenched the violence of fire, escaped the edge of the sword, out of weakness were made strong, waxed valiant in fight, turned to flight the armies of the aliens. Women received their dead raised to life again: and others were tortured, not accepting deliverance; that they might obtain a better resurrection. And others had trial of  cruel mockings and scourgings, yea, moreover of bonds and imprisonment: They were stoned, they were sawn asunder, were tempted, were slain with sword: they wandered about in sheepskins and goatskins; being destitute, afflicted, tormented;(of whom the world was not worthy:) they wandered in desserts, and in mountains, and in dens and caves of the earth. And these all, having obtained a good report through faith, received not the promise: God having provided some better thing for us, that they without us should not be made perfect."

Faith was the vehicle that facilitated grace and these giants of faith obtained marvelous reports. Faith is the channel that delivered grace for exploits. What their faith demanded the grace of God supplied. their faith was on the demand side and the grace of God on the supply side. Faith enabled them to walk in unusual grace. I pray that your faith begins to grow through the appropriation of revelation. May God supply you with grace to change your world. Remember faith is the magnet that pulls grace into your orbit. May you receive great faith and great grace Amen!
